Red Rover

This client had purchased a unique Adrian Pearsall chair and ottoman years ago. Like many mid-century pieces today, the foam was disintegrating and coming through the fabric. In addition, the fabric was worn and parts of the wood trim had fallen off. He chose a beautiful red and gold jacquard to recover the piece in. New foam was installed and the wooden legs were cleaned up and the brass casters were machine polished to their original luster. Check out the Before and After page for more on the restoration.

Cabo Chic

Halcyon Design worked with a client in Cabo San Lucas and contracted us to make an assortment of things for the project. We created a variety of pillows, headboards and recovered two ottomans in a very beautiful Missoni fabric.

Custom Window Bench

This newly created dining area included a window bench. The client wanted it comfortable and modern, but were concerned about guests having a window ledge in their back. We solved the problem by making a one-piece 10′ long buttoned cushion with back bolsters.

The fabric is a designer line with fade resistant properties.

Egg Chairs

Apparel manufacturer Canali updated their showroom for a new fall line. The showroom designer chose to have two Jacobsen egg chairs recovered in chocolate brown men’s suiting felt. In addition, a curved bench in the reception area was slip-covered in the same fabric to tie the whole look together.

Grosgrain Slipcovers

Women’s apparel manufacturer Rena Lange was showing their latest line in their showroom. They bought modular furniture for the event that could be slipcovered and re-used for other occasions.

Three story boards were presented as inspired by collection. One of the looks was chosen and slipcovers were made for all of the furniture.

Black Leather

A longtime friend and client was changing the decor of her home and wanted a more sophisticated and sexy look to some pieces of furniture she owned.  We took this ottoman and made it more handsome and sleek by covering it in black leather.  Custom finished nails were also added around the corners at the legs.

Rustic Charm

An interior designer contacted us for several projects in a home in CT. The house was very rustic.

Striped Cushion

A popular style currently is a finish detail known in French as “passe poile”.  It basically refers to the fact that the soft roll around the edge is hand formed and hand sewn.  This custom cushion was created for a client who saw a similar cushion in a display and wanted it recreated in a more interesting fabric for their outdoor seating area.

Fall Colors in Vinyl

Paul & Shark, an Italian retailer on Madison Avenue, wanted their store to have a more cohesive theme when it came to window treatments and furniture in the store.  In working with the designer, we created a series of pieces.  Cushions and covers were created for benches and cube shaped ottomans.  Director chairs were outfitted with matching vinyl inserts, and buttoned upholstered walls were added to the window areas.

Spring White Vinyl

For the spring season, Paul & Shark wanted to change the store to a lighter spring feel.  Again we worked with the store designer to create all new furniture covers and upholstered walls to follow the theme.
